High Point offers dependable electric service through a municipal utility that has earned national recognition. The High Point Electric Utilities Department was among the first in the United States to be certified by the American Public Power Association as a Reliable Public Power Provider. The department later achieved diamond status and remains one of a select number of utilities with this level of certification.
